No fewer than 80 villagers were killed during the tragic incident which occurred on the eve of Maulud celebrations.

Nafi’u Abubakar, speaking on behalf of the forum, pledged to ensure justice for the families who lost loved ones and property in the incident. He stressed the urgent need for a thorough and impartial investigation to determine the cause of the bombing and hold those responsible accountable.

“The federal government must act swiftly and decisively to guarantee a comprehensive and impartial inquiry into this occurrence,” Abubakar stated.

“It is imperative that those responsible are held accountable for their actions, and measures are put in place to prevent any recurrence of such incidents in the future.”

The Concerned Northern Lawyers Forum further urged the Nigerian military to review its rules of engagement and training procedures to minimise civilian casualties during operations.

They emphasised the need for the army, as a protector of the nation, to exercise utmost caution to avoid collateral damage.

The forum, which boasts over 600 members, expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families.

Abubakar declared their unwavering support in ensuring justice is served for the victims.

He affirmed that the Concerned Northern Lawyers Forum will work tirelessly to pursue legal avenues to secure the compensation owed to those affected by the tragedy.

The Kaduna drone incident has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for accountability, with many demanding a transparent investigation and compensation for the victims.
