It was a dream come true and triumph of light over long time darkness for the people of Ezhi landmark village, Tudun wada community, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, as their oneness to provide a 500KVA transformer came to fruition.

Speaking at the commissioning of the transformer project on Sunday, the president of the community, Comrade Noble Adaelu appealed to AEDC restructure her system to adequately address the needs of her clients, especially the provision of her business infrastructure.

He said over the years, Ezhi Landmark Village has suffered great set back, largely orchestrated by the absence of power supply which resultant effect has retarded the economic development of the community, resulted in the low appreciation rate of the landed properties and subsequently gave room to criminal elements that operate better in the dark.

“It is worthy of note that the primary constitutional duties of the citizens does not include the provision of power supply to themselves, but the gross ineptitude and the high level of insensitivity of the constituted authority compelled us to struggle for the installation of a standard power supply in our community . Regrettably though, the gains of this gargantuan power project which has cost the community over eight million Naira, lies in the purse of AEDC.

“It is therefore my humble appeal that AEDC should restructure her system to adequately address the needs of her clients, especially the provision of her business infrastructure,” he said.

He further commended the Transformer Acquisition and Installation Committee, headed by Mr. Prince Sylvester Ananigie , the community Auditor – Mr. Ochesuru O. Siyaka and Mr. Stephen Iorfa Undiar, while thanking Arc. Asema Achado, who selflessly donated 200kva transformer to the community even though he has no property.

“By the developmental strides of this administration, it is evidently prudential to say that this administration was ordained by God, endorsed by the people, and today I can boldly say that we have delivered the dividends of responsive, transparent and accountable leadership to the good people of Ezhi Landmark Village.”
