Founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Experience Aviation Nigeria, Ryakeng Caleb has said Nigerian aviation sector needs to grow beyond scheduled flights to the point of flying for leisure and fun in the country.

Caleb, a licensed pilot and the facilitator of the training programme for secondary school students from Government Secondary School, Kufang and Claire Aid foundation, Jebbu Miango in Bassa local government area organised by Experience Aviation Nigeria at the Yakubu Gowon Airport Heipang Jos.

She said Nigeria does not have a general aviation, apart from government and private chartered as Experience Aviation wants to do something that Nigerians can come and begin to enjoy leisure activities using aviation.

“If you go to other countries, you have people that are flying for fun, they go into small aircraft fly around. Plateau State is extreme beautiful. One of the best views I have experienced as a pilot is flying over Jos, the mountains are beautiful, so we want to build gradually to the point where we have our people flying for fun and leisure in the country,” she said.
According to her, the development will engaged more pilots, people to participate in the sector and by that way, it will also create more jobs and business opportunities because people will get to know about what we are doing.

Caleb pointed out that there is need to grow that sector so that the whole Aviation industry will grow as well.
