The chairman of Abuja chapter of CIIN Abuja, Alhaji Abbas Owolabi, stated this at the celebration of the 2023 Christmas Carol of the institute with the theme: “Spirit of Christmas.”

While stressing the importance of inclusivity in leadership and highlighting the significance of fostering unity, Owolabi called for unification of Nigerians from diverse backgrounds to commemorate the joyous season.

“This celebration isn’t just about festivities; it’s a reminder to tread carefully. We should drive responsibly and celebrate with caution,” stated Owolabi, stressing the need for moderation during holiday celebrations.

Owolabi highlighted the importance of a conducive business environment and urged the government to ease taxes, and foster conducive atmosphere for business growth.

Also, the executive director of operations of Varietal Capital Insurance Plc, Olasunkanmi Adekeye, reiterated the spirit of love during Christmas, urging Nigerians to embrace love and unity.

Adekeye acknowledged the industry’s progress despite economic challenges, expressing optimism for a brighter future in the coming year.

“A crucial step is to include insurance expenses in the state government’s 2024 budget to ensure public assets’ protection,” he said.

He also stressed the need to mitigate financial burdens on the government in case of unforeseen damage.

Adekeye said the CIIN’s Christmas Carol encapsulated the spirit of togetherness while advocating for prudent celebrations and a proactive approach towards insuring public assets.
