ASP Mansir Hassan, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) on Tuesday in Kaduna, said that the rescue operation took place on Monday around 4.00 pm during an anti crime patrol mission in the Madachi-Galadimawa area within Zaria Local Government Area when the police patrol team encountered individuals suspected to be kidnappers.

“Upon seeing the police operatives, the suspects fled, prompting a chase. As a result, we were able to rescue a kidnapped victim from their hideout,” Hassan stated. “The rescued individual was immediately taken to the Muslim Specialist Hospital in Zaria for urgent medical attention.”

During the investigation, it was revealed that the victim had been abducted six months prior while travelling to Kontagora in Niger. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects involved in the abduction.
