A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Taley Sylvester Children Foundation (TSCF), has officially launched its educational initiative aimed at empowering and bridging the gap in educational accessibility for underprivileged children in Nigeria through the distribution of educational supplies and resources.

A key member of the TSCF Board of Trustees, Dr. Ley Sylvester, in a statement on Thursday, explained that the inaugural gala held this December at Citiheight Hotel, Lagos, served as the public unveiling of the foundation’s initiatives. Guests in attendance included board members, associates, friends, and family.

Dr. Sylvester further stressed TSCF’s commitment to creating educational equity by focusing on equipping the most under-resourced schools with the necessary supplies for effective student learning. “We’ve already directly improved the educational experiences of over 2,000 children,” she proudly disclosed.

Elder Segun Sylvester, President of TSCF, elaborated on the foundation and its goals, stating that they aim to contribute to positive social change by addressing the significant educational challenges faced by underprivileged communities.

“Many children lack basic resources like books and uniforms, hindering their potential and leaving them behind,” he explained. “Through the distribution of supplies and resources, we strive to bridge this gap.”

The gala served not only to unveil the TSCF brand but also to create public awareness of the initiative and seek partnership opportunities with like-minded organisations and individuals who share the vision of positively impacting children’s educational experiences, one child at a time.

Among the distinguished guests who graced the occasion were Barrister Abiola Abdulkareem, Special Adviser to the Minister of Arts and Culture on Civil Service Affairs and Founder of Jagunlabi Foundation; HRH Oba Lukman Oluwadamilare Salami, The Ebi of Idenna; Dr. Uzo Obiakpani and Chief Timothy Adedoyin of Eko Boys to Men (EB2M) Association; and Mrs. Titilayo Adeoti, Head of School at Flimic Private School.
