Following the signing of shareholders agreement between the Delta State Government, UTM Offshore Limited and NNPCL towards the development of the first floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) in Nigeria, a frontline Warri South Local Government chairmanship hopeful, Amb. Dr Toyin Agbolaya, said the pact would bring about job creation and cleaner energy.

Agbolaya stated this while felicitating with the management of the multi-billion dollar company, describing the pact as laudable and a great height by the UTM Group Managing Director, Mr. Julius Rone.

He noted that it’s historic by a Deltan and a Warri son who has distinguished himself in the oil and gas industry to put up such feat.

He also commended the Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for his role in involving the state government through share holding in the first offshore LNG being hosted by illustrious Warri son, Julius Rone, where the State Government will own eight per cent share of the project, NNPC Limited 20 per cent and UTM Offshore having 72 per cent.
