Coalition of Civil Society for Peace, Security, Good Governance, Equity and Justice have passed a vote of confidence on Alliance Hospital, urging them to remain resolute in its vision to render quality Medicare in Nigeria.
The Coalition of Civil Society Groups is an amalgamation of over 52 civil society groups committed to the promotion of peace, security and good governance in Nigeria.
The group in a statement jointly signed by its national coordinator and secretary Otunba Olusegun Egbaiyelo respectively, made available to journalists in Abuja, condemned the campaign of calumny by sinister forces bent on destroying genuine indigenous efforts geared towards interrupting medical tourism.
They noted that the campaign by the Federal Government to conserve scarce foreign exchange recently received a boost when Alliance Hospital: an indigenous world- class medical facility professionally and successfully carried out over 27 kidney transplants in addition to 23 complex spine surgeries, 27 joint replacement surgeries, 16 brain surgeries amongst others.
The group urged the authorities to discountenance it saying,” Alliance Hospital was investigated and cleared by the Nigeria Medical Council of allegations of organ harvesting.
“We have absolute confidence in Dr Christopher Otabor and his entire professional corps & management in Alliance Hospital,” they said.
