The lead pastor of the Glorious Destiny Family Church, Pastor Akeem Idoniboye, has called on the federal government to review the country’s education curriculum.

Idoniboye, who made the call while preaching a sermon at the church’s main auditorium in Borokiri, Port Harcourt, decried a situation where schools in the country are still using the curriculum that had been in existence since the 1980s.

He said: “The problem we are having is that what was taught in our schools in the 1980s are the things still being taught today. Nothing has changed. Our curriculum needs to be reworked.”

The cleric, whose sermon was titled: “Power of Ability”, said ability determine what you are entitled to and entrusted with, pointing out that there are dimensions you will never enter if you don’t do things well, because life respects competence.

Idoniboye said: “Ability determines what you are given and what you are entrusted with. Every reward is often based on your capacity.  There is a place for capacity.

“Ability is to build competence. People respect competence.
