This was after the former State Working Committee (SWC) members led by Ignatius Nlem was asked to voluntarily resign their positions or be sacked.

The party had accused them of being involved in gross anti-party activities during the just concluded 11th November, 2023 off-cycle governorship election in the state.

ADC, which disclosed this in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP by the national vice chairman South East, Chilos Godsent, in Owerri, said the party has unveiled the names of the newly constituted State Working Committee (SWC) of the party in Imo State.

According to the party, “We thus mandated the new State Working Committee (SWC) to reposition the party in the state and lead the party to a resounding victory in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.”
