Jigawa State governor, Umar Namadi, has called on Nigerians to unite to rescue the country from present social and economic challenges in the New Year 2024.
Namadi made the call in his New Year message to the people of the state and other Nigerians in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Comrade Hamisu Mohammed Gumel.

He commended the people of the state and other Nigerians for their commitment and patriotism which made the country to conduct successful general elections and political power transition in 2023.

“Despite the militating social and economic challenges, Nigerians have exhibited a higher sense of resilience, determination and faith with democracy for resolving our differences, challenges and moving the nation forward,” he said.

Governor Namadi reiterated the commitment of his administration to collaborate with citizens and other partners to build a brighter future for the state through a 12-point agenda.
He added that 2024 is a critical year for laying the foundation for the implementation of his 12-point agenda designed to make “Jigawa great”.

“Everyone is important and has a key role to play in the new journey and I am optimistic that with collaborated effort, we can achieve the desired goals,” he declared.
