Governor Fintiri Restates Support For Military

Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to support the military to ensure that the state remains peaceful.
He made the commitment during the Armed Forces Appeal Fund at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Yola yesterday.

He said the annual event is worth celebrating for the good work of veteran soldiers who kept Nigeria united and to remember those who paid the supreme sacrifice for the country.

The governor who was represented by his deputy Prof Kaletapwa George Farauta, stressed that security of life and property remains the state’s priority.
He pointed out that the government had invested resources to make the state one of the safest in the country, thus addressing insecurity headlong in the state.

He added that operational vehicles were made available to security agencies and hunters association in the 21 LGAs of the state to help combat crime.
He added that the support has no doubt reduced the ugly narrative of kidnapping, farmer/herders crisis in the state.

He lauded the military for their vigor in keeping Nigeria one and their good role in fighting insurgency in the North-East and Adamawa state.

Earlier, in his remarks, Ali Mohammed, state chairman Nigeria Legion, applauded the state government developmental strides which cut across areas like security, education, health, agriculture, empowerment, and infrastructural development among others.
Veterans are particularly happy with the N20 million pledge made by Fintiri during the 2023 celebration.
