Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the sack of the director general, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the state, Alhaji Baba Arah and suspension of the chairman, State Universal Education Board, Dr Isah Adamu.
The removal of the state SDG director general was contained in a letter signed by the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane and obtained by journalists yesterday.
The letter said; “The removal of the director general is to facilitate accelerated implementation of the reforms being initiated by the government towards attainment of the SDGs in the state.”
No clear reason was given for the action of the government on the NSUBEB chairman.
A member of the board, Allhaji Shehu Nafuntua, was directed to act.
