NIPR Lauds Governor Yusuf Over Kano Elders’ Forum

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Kano State chapter, on Thursday commended the initiative of Gov. Abba Yusuf for setting  up elders consultative forum consisting of past governors in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by the branch NIPR Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Yusuf, in Kano yesterday.

According to the institute, the move is pragmatic and strategic towards all inclusive administration aimed at ensuring harmony within the state, believing that other states will follow suit.

Yusuf also congratulated the governor on his victory at the Supreme Court, describing the success as the will of Allah, the Almighty.

He said that such victory from the  Apex Court had proven that the election of the governor was a credible one and urged him to rededicate himself towards selfless stewardship to the people of the state for maximum performance.

The chairman also urged Yusuf to continue with his infrastructural development and prayed for him to initiate and execute more projects, policies and programmes that would move the state to greater heights.

He also expressed appreciation for the professionalism exhibited by the governor’s spokesman, Mr Sanusi Tofa, who demonstrated high sense of professionalism before during and after the courts proceedings.(NAN)

Yusuf urged the governor to sustain the tempo in the discharge of his responsibilities.

 

He however appealed to Yusuf to device means of ensuring the registration of spokespersons across all Ministries, Departments and Agencies with the  institute, so as to make them certified Public Relations (PR) practitioners. (NAN)
