In a statement issued by the Acting Head of Service, Hamidu Alhaji, the committee is tasked with determining the financial implication of the implementation of the wage award to the civil servants including to negotiate with labour unions on the acceptable rate both to government and the organised labour.

The committee chaired by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, has five members including Head of Service, Commissioner for Finance, state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), state chairman of Trade Union Congress (TUC), while the Permanent Secretary (Establishment) is to serve as secretary.
