Yemi-Esan who was represented by the director overseeing the office of the permanent secretary, service welfare in the OHCSF, Dr. Kemi Adeosun, the Head of Service appealed to the officers to embrace the culture of continuous improvement for expeditious payment of claims by government accredited insurance brokers.

She also said quick processing of necessary documentation of deceased personnel would help in facilitating adequate budgetary provisions, stressing that the OHCSF would no longer tolerate lateness or delay in  processing of benefits accrued to civil servants who died, while in active service.

Earlier, the director of Insurance Administration in the OHCSF, Mr. Abubakar Maijama noted that the Pension Reform Act of 2014, section four sub-session five makes it mandatory for all employers of labour to provide life insurance cover for their employees.
