The state government through the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) yesterday organised the awareness campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs in the palaces of the monarchs.

In her address at the forum, the executive secretary of DSVA, Mrs Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, said the need to engage the traditional rulers on issues relating to gender-based violence became imperative as they play vital roles in swift response and prevention of the vice.

Vivour-Adeniyi said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared zero-tolerance for all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and it is important that everyone stays on the same page in addressing the menace.

She said, “Today, we stand united with our traditional rulers as key stakeholders with collective commitment to eradicate sexual and bender-based violence.
