Following the defeat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the recently conducted governorship election in Osun State, aggrieved members on Tuesday came out in their numbers to call for the restructuring of the party.

The APC members who also protested the continued stay in office of their Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun, accused him of mismanagement of the party and culpability in its electoral defeats.

According to the APC members who converged in Osogbo from across the 30 local governments areas of the state, they described the party under Famodun as a ‘vehicle with flat tyres’, saying it could not deliver victory in the 2023 general elections.

Reacting, Famodun who described the protesters as the supporters of the Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola described the protest as shameful, callous and wicked.

Famodun who condemned the protest said it was callous for Aregbesola supporters who allegedly glaringly worked against the success of Governor Oyetola at the polls to now be canvassing restructuring of the party.
