The deposed Amana Kakanda Muye, Abdulkadir Mohammed Maigari, has been granted bail by Minna Magistrate court I.
He was earlier arraigned on February 6, 2024, before the court by the men of the Niger State Police Command on eight count charges which bordered on inciting public disturbance and others.
At the last adjourned date, the chief magistrate, Hajiya Ummulkhatum Mohammed, ordered that he should be remanded.

The counsel to the village head, Mohammed Musa Ndako, made an oral application for his bail which was rejected by the chief magistrate.
She directed the counsel to formally apply for his bail on the ground that some of the charges against him are not ordinarily bailable.
The chief magistrate ruling on the bail application granted it in the sum of N10 million with three sureties in the like sum.

She said the sureties must reside within the jurisdiction of the court and to deposit their recent passport photographs.
Mohammed further ordered that the deposed monarch must enter a written bond of good conduct and to maintain peace in the community and adjourned the case to March 11, 2024 for further hearing.
