The Chief Magistrate Court of Nasarawa State in Karu, led by Abdulsalam Abubakar, has vacated an arrest order on Odupaiye Abimbola Joseph and also ordered the suspension of all post-no-debit (PND) orders on his accounts.

In a recent judicial development, the Chief Magistrate Court of Nasarawa State in Karu, led by Abdulsalam Abubakar delivered a significant ruling in suit numbers M/312/2024, M/313/2024, M/314/2024, and M/315/2024.
The court, in its ruling on the motion, filed by Joseph’s lawyer, C.S. Igwe of Waterbridge Solicitors, vacated its earlier directive to arrest and impose a “post-no-debit” restriction on various bank accounts belonging to Joseph.
The ruling delivered in favour of Joseph, marks a pivotal resolution in a case that attracted considerable media attention.

Previously, several media outlets had carried reports calling for the arrest of Joseph, with accusations that he was evading the authorities, hinting at international pursuit by INTERPOL.
After the ruling, Joseph expressed joy and gratitude to the judiciary as the ruling has once again reinforced his belief in the saying that “the court is the last hope of a common man.”
He further prayed that this ruling would put an end to the allegations and unfounded rumors tarnishing his reputation.

Asserting his consistent adherence to transparency and legality in his business dealings, Joseph emphasized that truth and integrity prevail despite persistent efforts to tarnish his name over time.
Furthermore, he urged media organisations and bloggers to adhere faithfully to the ethical standards and principles of journalism.
He said the court’s order to vacate the arrest warrant and financial restrictions on his accounts stands as a testament that indeed the courts still uphold the fundamentals of justice.
