It demanded that N108 million compensation be paid to the owners of the rustled animals by the Plateau State government to alleviate their suffering.
The group’s chairman, Garba Abdullahi Muhammad, made the demand during an interaction with newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital. He said one Abdussalam Ibrahim was inflicted with machete cuts and is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in the area.

Meanwhile, Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who reacted to the attacks, in a statement issued by the director of press and public affairs, Gyang Bere, said he received with rude shock the brutal attack orchestrated by unknown persons which occurred in Barki Ladi council.

Mutfwang condemned in totality the acts of lawlessness and said the unholy act undermines government‘s effort in entrenching harmonious living among all and sundry in the state adding that government will no longer tolerate brutal killings of innocent citizens either in their farms or in any part of the state while pursuing their legitimate means of livelihood.

The Fulani group claimed that gunmen on motorcycles carried out the attack on their members when they opened fire on their victims while their cows were grazing in a barren field that has no any farms near by capable of provoking the attackers in Nafan and Nyerwei village in Fan district of Barki Ladi LGA
