As part of plans to mark 2024 Builders Day on March 11, the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) has included a catch-them-young programme to encourage young Nigerians to build a profession in the industry

A statement signed by the national publicity secretary of the institute, Bldr. Omale Peter Ameh, disclosed that the theme of Year 2024 Builders’ Day: “The Role of Builders In Sustainable Housing Delivery,” was carefully chosen to serve as a call to builders and the general public in a time when the quest for professionalism and flawless service delivery cannot be overemphasized in the industry.

“Although March 13 is Builders Day, however, the entire week is lined up with activities,” he stated.

He said  professional builders would be joined by building enthusiasts, real estate developers, building materials manufacturers and other stakeholders to celebrate the profession in a six-day activities lined up to commemorate the week.
