Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Bago and the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar have expressed sadness over the death of Alhaji Muhammad Egba Enagi (Sarkin Malami Nupe).
Egba Enagi, who is also the village head of Dikko-Enagi in Edati local government area of Niger State, died Saturday night at the age of 90.

He was the father of the first lady of Niger State, Hajiya Fatima Bago and former first lady of the state, Senator Zaynab Kure.
He was an educationist and a civil servant and retired as a permanent secretary to his village in Dikko-Enagi of Edati local government area of the state in the 1980s.
The governor of Niger State, who was at the burial rites yesterday afternoon at his residence in Dikko-Enagi, Edati LGA of the State, described the death of his father-in-law, as a colossal loss to him, Bida Emirate and the entire Niger State.

The governor said it was indeed a sad moment for the family saying that the deceased lived a selfless and impactful life worthy of emulation.
Meanwhile, the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar has also mourned the death of Sarkin Malami Nupe describing him as a very humble, pious, dedicated and a committed elder statesman whose death has created a very wide vacuum to difficult to fill.

“The death of Sarkin Malami Nupe was a monumental loss to all and sundry, especially now that the country desired pious and trustworthy community leaders that promote peace, tranquility and foster the unity of the country,” he said.
