Princess Bunmi Ali Pukat has been selected as the ‘Queen Mother of Nigerian Youths’ by a group, Nigerian Youth Convergence (NYC), in an online poll held on Wednesday.
Pukat got 316 votes to beat other nominees that included Princess Patience Helen Uloko, Princess Maryam Muhammed and Princess Joy Odo Igwe.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, chairman of the online poll, Comrade Obaje David, said all the nominees were eminently qualified for the position and all are members of royal homes who have contributed immensely to the successes of youth activities both at home and in the diaspora.
He described the winner, Princess Bunmi Ali Pukat, as someone who has championed the affairs of the youths, saying he was not surprised that she was the choice of majority of the voters.
Comrade Obaje also confirmed that Princess Bunmi will be inaugurated this year in Abuja, and congratulated her on the well-deserved victory.
“During our meeting, majority of youth representatives from the South-West, South-East, South-South and the entire Northern States agreed and chose Princess Bunmi Ali Pukat, and that confirms her true position as Queen Mother of Nigerian Youths,” Obaje stated.
