JUST-IN: Kaduna Community Unveils Identities Of 14 Kidnap Victims

Names of the 14 victims kidnapped from Dogon Noma in Unguwan Gamo community of Kauru local government area of Kaduna State have finally been released by the community.

LEADERSHIP reports that an unspecified number of persons were kidnapped from the community on Saturday 16/3/2024 around 6:00am when a large number of bandits invaded the area.

 

A former chairman of Kauru local government area, Hon. Cafra Caino, had earlier confirmed the attack but could not ascertain the number of kidnapped persons on Saturday.

However, Caino has now confirmed that 14 persons, including three men and 11 women, were kidnapped and that one person sustained injury during the attack.

 

Names of the kidnap victims were given as 1. Bulus Dandaura, 2. Murna Bulus, 3. Donald Bulus, 4. Labari Audu, 5. Zainabu Dauda, 6. Dorcas Titus, 7. Jummai Garba, 8. Felicia Wanzami, 9. Ruth Thomas, 10. Esther Oliver, 11. Comfort Babangida, 12. Mrs Yakubu Pama, 13. Abaza Monday, and 14. Christy Samuel, while Mr Jibrin Dauda sustained severy injury and was taken to the hospital for medical attention.

 

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mansir Hassan, was yet to confirm the attack and the abduction as his phone number could not be reached as at press time.

 

Also, the Kaduna State government was yet to release any official statement on the latest attack in the state.
