It congratulated the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on his victory in the recent APC primary election.

The Edo state coordinator, Hon. Williams Egberhamwen Osemwegie, who stated this in Benin, Edo State capital, said the party has chosen a good candidate who can withstand the ruling PDP.

Osemwegie stated that members of the group have heard the call by the National Executive of the G37 led by Comrade Evans City that they should go back to the wards to mobilise youths and women to give block votes to the APC governorship candidate in the poll.

Speaking earlier in Benin, the deputy national publicity secretary of G37, Comrade Lawrence Enaholo, said Okpebholo’s victory is a done deal as far as the governorship election in the state is concerned, adding that the Senator has been a good representative of his constituency and has done well to the admiration of his people.

Comrade Enaholo commended the APC delegates for voting massively for Senator Okpebholo as the governorship candidate of the party.
