“Yes, I can confirm release of the students kidnapped in their school about two weeks ago at Gada local government area of state. I cannot say more than this for now. Information I got about their release is in piecemeal. However, they are released and, everyone is happy.”

Confirming the development, police spokesman in Sokoto State command, ASP Ahmed Rufai, said the students had been reunited with their families.
He said, “You know it is a military operation and from the information available to us here, they have been released. I am sure you will get the details of their released soon” he added.
