The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has charged President Bola Tinubu to tackle the twin menace of insecurity, as well as economic hardship confronting the nation and Nigerians at the moment.

The Council gave the charge in a congratulatory message in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Mrs Chinyere Oge-Kalu, on the occasion of the 72nd birthday anniversary of President Tinubu.

IPAC, in celebrating with the president, described him as an outstanding patriot and politician who dedicated his life to national service.

“President Tinubu is an outstanding patriot, leader, and politician who dedicated his eventful life in service to the nation and humanity. An indefatigable democrat who fought for the restoration of democracy from the military junta,” IPAC said.

It further noted that Tinubu has mentored several Nigerians who are now occupying public offices.

Acknowledging that he took the reins of governance at a difficult time, the body urged the president to take bold steps towards addressing insecurity and prevailing economic challenges confronting the citizens.

“Though he assumed duty at a difficult time, IPAC urges him to take bold steps in tackling insecurity and economic hardship in the country, and provide desired fruits of democracy that will assuage the sufferings of the masses.

“This is in accord with the provision of Section 14(2)b of the 1999 constitution as amended, which states that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.

“This is the heartbeat of Nigerians and their expectation from the APC-led government,” IPAC added.

The National Publicity Secretary conveyed the prayers of the IPAC Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle, and the General Assembly for God to grant the President extraordinary wisdom, good health and courage to pilot the affairs of the nation, as well as implement his Renewed Hope agenda to the people.
