Global technology company, Huawei has launched a series of products and solutions that are specifically designed to assist businesses, organisations and government agencies to achieve their goals and drive growth in today’s digital economy.

The solutions were unveiled during the business launch of IP Club’s new distribution held at Oriental Hotel, Lagos recently.

Delivering his welcome address, the managing director, Enterprise Business Group, Huawei Nigeria, Terrens Wu, stated that the series of solutions provided by Huawei offers digital transformation that would significantly help in improving efficiency in our business operations.

He noted that Huawei as a company remains committed to supporting businesses and several organisations in Nigeria to achieve their ultimate goals.

“We have engineers who are capable of assisting businesses and organizations to achieve their goals and thrive in today’s digital economy. As a company, we have provided solutions and products that are safe and can be seamlessly integrated with any existing ICT infrastructure to optimise our investment. This bold step has made it easy for businesses to adopt and utilise distribution without any interruption to the existing operations,” he said.

Speaking on the fifth edition of the IP Club, he noted that throughout the past four editions, the company has gained a lot of confidence and trust working with customers and partners with many of them providing feedback, advice, and skills together on the platform.

He disclosed that the series of new intelligent technologies developed by the company will certainly help various industries and businesses unleash their digital productivity.

He revealed that technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) were becoming popular and evolving, especially with the introduction of Sora-an AI content-generating application or service.

Speaking further on the solution, he stated that in addition to possessing an immense computing capacity, the data and content generated within the data centre usually traversed a complex network of routers, switches, and firewalls before being transmitted via fibre or copper to the access network. The list of the major networks, according to him, includes 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi.

On his part, the ICT MSSD VP, Huawei Nigeria., Gavin Geng, explained that technologies have continued to evolve, especially with the advent of AI and Cloud services stating that organisations and offices which once relied on IP networks many years ago have moved to intelligent IP networks to maximize digital productivity.

On his part,  director, Security Product Marketing, Huawei Nigeria, Jason Gao, while speaking on the HiSec SASE Solution stated that many enterprise networks have undergone a lot of changes which have brought about unprecedented challenges to network planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimisation.

While listing the changes to include the growing number of applications, ever-increasing network scale and complexity, higher network bandwidth demand, and increased network traffic, he noted that the introduction of digital transformation into the networks and leveraging the technology to cope with the challenges that the Huawei HiSec SASE offers will help a great deal to address the challenges.

The solution, according to him, offers intelligent protection for enterprise headquarters and branches with integrated cloud, network, edge, and endpoint security, such that data moving from one location to another location does not get intercepted.

“Currently, the data centre network, the transmission network, and the access network are getting more and more complex, and we need to consider what could happen so that you can guarantee the customer experience or the end users. Now in the digital transformation era, what we are doing is improving efficiency, and providing better experiences to all the people, all the citizens,” he said.

In a similar development, Huawei has launched the platform, IP Club New Distribution Business. The platform, according to Gao, is an affordable IT solution for small businesses that offer quality services, as well as Huawei’s high-availability DR DCN solution for disaster recovery solutions.

He stressed further that the solution makes restoring one’s data and workloads easier such that it is possible to get business operations back online quickly after a catastrophic event.
