Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has urged residents of the state to imbibe the principles of compassion, generosity, discipline, patriotism, and peaceful coexistence for the advancement of the state and the country .
This, according to the Governor in his Sallah message in Kano on Wednesday, should be embraced by all beyond the holy month of Ramadan.
While rejoicing with the good people of the state, President Bola Tinubu and the entire Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting, the governor reassured of his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises.
He also assured that his government will facilitate a policy framework for peaceful cohabitation and unity for all.
He expressed confidence of better days ahead while highlighting that his administration has planned to execute massive infrastructure development in the 2024.
He however warned youths to stay away from engaging in reckless driving and social vices such as thuggery (fadan Daba) during the festive season and even beyond.
Yusuf warned that anybody found wanting in any violent acts would not be spared by the state government.
The Kano State governor further assured residents of the readiness of the state for their safety and security.
“Our administration will do anything possible within the confines of the law to ensure the safety and security of all residents and visitors of Kano,” Governor Yusuf assured.
