Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago has said the state government will renovate and equip all government schools as well as primary healthcare centres  across the state for effective and efficient service delivery.

The governor disclosed this at a dinner organised in his honour in Kontagora by the critical stakeholders forum, an association of political appointees, career management staff and heads of ministries , agencies and department from the  Kontagora local government area.

Governor Bago said a lot of gaps have been identified in the education sector and a lot would be done to revamp it; explaining that he has directed the stoppage of building new government schools and primary healthcare centres to put the existing structures in good shape.

He said his administration has attracted a lot of investments to the state, especially on infrastructure and agriculture where a million hectares of land have already been identified for cultivation.

Bago acknowledged the support of the Kontagora Emirate Council in his developmental strides and called on all stakeholders to work collectively as a team for the overall development of the State.

All the stakeholders who spoke including the immediate past governor of the state and senator representing Niger North, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello lauded the efforts of the governor.
