Zamfara Assists 40,000 Underprivileged Persons

Zamfara State Zakat and Endowment Board has supported over 40,000 underprivileged persons across the state.

It was part of the board’s commitment towards improving the social and economic status of the beneficiaries.

The chairman of the board, Sheikh Umar Ahmad Kanoma, said Zakat and Endowment remained the beacons of hope and progress in the area of social welfare.

He restated the determination of the board to judiciously distribute Zakat and Endowment board funds to the needy.

The executive secretary of the board, Habib Balarabe Muhammad, said he was ready to respond promptly to distressing situations, as support was provided to sisters grappling with drug abuse, adding that this approach reflects the board’s dedication to the holistic welfare of the less privileged persons in the state.
