Highlighting the void left behind by the actress’ death, as well as her contributions to the Nigerian cinematic industry, Musawa described Gidado as a versatile talent whose remarkable performances endeared her to her northern-based fans.

“With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Saratu Gidado, a veteran actress whose contributions to the film industry, especially in Kannywood were immense. She will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace,” said Musawa.
