The Lagos State Police Command said over 1,019 suspects will be charged to court on Monday for various offenses in the state.

The Command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Lagos on Sunday.

SP Hundeyin said that the suspects were arrested between 1:15 p.m. on April 8 and 12:50 p.m. on April 14 during massive raids of black spots across the state.

The Lagos Police Spokesperson said the suspects would be charged for various crimes, including possession of arms and ammunition, traffic robbery, assault on members of the public, and possession of illicit drugs, amongst others.

Hundeyin added that the operatives would continue the raid in different parts of the state and warned that criminally-minded persons should avoid coming to Lagos or relocate, if they were already in the state.
