Kidnapped RCCG Pastor Regains Freedom

A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Olugbenga Olawore, who was abducted by gunmen, has regained freedom.

Oyo State’s commissioner for information, Prince Dotun Oyelade yesterday said, “Our people should be rest assured that our security apparatus in the state is fully alive and alert to its responsibilities.”

The commissioner said the state government was monitoring the security situation within its boundary efficiently.

He confirmed the kidnap of the pastor and a few others at the Maya axis of Lanlate-Eruwa Road, all within Oyo State boundary .

Oyelade said, “Since the incident was reported, the government had been in close contact with the state commissioner of police, Bola Hamzat, his team and “our own security teams and all parties have done the needful as usual to ensure the safety of life and property of our citizens.”

Oyelade reiterated that Oyo State remains the most peaceful state in the federation.
