The House of Representatives will hold a two-day retreat between Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1, 2024 to strengthen members’ legislative and oversight capacity, as well as foster collaborative efforts towards economic development and tax reforms.
The retreat which is scheduled to take place at the Abuja Continental Hotel, is expected to be declared open by President Bola Tinubu.
Spokesman and chairman, House committee on media & public affairs Hon. Akin Rotimi who disclosed this yesterday said the retreat themed: ‘Navigating Change: Legislative Strategies for Economic Transformation, will be supported by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung.
Rotimi said it is a strategic initiative of the 10th House of Representatives to collaborate with legislative support institutions and partners to sustain capacity development programmes for members.
