The University of Abuja branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has begun an indefinite strike to draw attention to developments bordering the union.

The union announced its decision to embark on the strike on Thursday at the end of its congress, held at the Permanent Site of the institution.

The Chairman of the branch, Dr. Sylvanus Ugoh, told LEADERSHIP in an interview that the union had resolved to embark on a total and an indefinite strike with immediate effect.
