The family of Late Matthew Omodayo Owotuga said the decision to immortalise their father stemmed from a deep-seated commitment to honouring his legacy of love for education and philanthropy.

Felix Omodayo Owotuga, speaking on behalf of the family, expressed their dedication to giving back to the community of Ode-Irele of Ondo State, where their father hailed from.

He emphasised the profound significance of education to their father, urging students to utilise the facility judiciously, bearing in mind the generations to come.

The Matthew Omodayo Owotuga Foundation, a non-profit and non-political organisation established a decade ago, has consistently served humanity.

The chairman of Omodayo Owotuga Foundation said the completion of the lecture theatre aligned with its objectives and underscores the commitment to community development, particularly in the Ondo South Senatorial District.

Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by his Special Adviser on Education, Olawunmi Ilawole, expressed gratitude to the Owotuga family for their generous donation.
He highlighted the transformative impact the lecture theatre would have on future leaders’ teaching and learning experiences.

Furthermore, the Late Matthew Omodayo Owotuga Foundation announced a scholarship offer for deserving students in Ondo State. This initiative underscored the Foundation’s commitment to empowering Nigerian youth and providing opportunities for the less-privileged.
