He explained that the award will be distributed across various categories, including the staff prices of three brand -new cars, the world awards monthly draws, regional draws, on -site draws, free digital marketing training, and digital cluster draws, adding that all winners were lucky as there is no bias basis for the selection.

According to him, Access bank has rewarded over 26,000 customers with an outstanding sum of 6 .5 billion Naira since the inception of Diamond Extra.

Speaking on the brand, Emeka said,”Diamond Extra is a brand for every Nigerian, it’s a brand that support assets, it’s a product that you sign on and you get rewarded for it, it is the one scheme that has been a cornerstone for commitments to show appreciation to give back to our loyal customers. It’s not just about having an account or getting deposits, but we want to be relevant to our customers, we want to support them, support their aspirations, and it’s not always by giving loans. Sometimes you try to identify with your customers, make them feel appreciated for bringing their business, these are people who trust you with their life savings.

“Look at the kind of people who are seeing today. These are artisans, people who are doing small businesses, and are still saving with us, showing confidence in the institution in the bank. This is just a simple way to also say we appreciate what they are doing with us.”

He further disclosed that the event is not just happening in Abuja but all over the country.

Commending the bank, a N100,000 cash prize winner, Mrs. Ijeoma Maureen said “I got a message from Access Bank to be present at the event as I could be the lucky winner but I had a class to attend. But along the line, I felt like leaving the class to come here. Let me come, at least to see what’s going on, I never knew that I would be among the people that would win. To God be the glory. Towards the end of the programme, when I’ve already lost hope, I wasn’t expecting anything. I heard my name called. I was so excited. And that makes me now believe in the bank access which I’m banking with. And I will continue to upgrade my account with them.”

Also, a N200,000 cash prize winner, Elochukwu Livinus expressed his gratitude to Access bank for the unexpected cash prize he received, stating that it will help his spare part business.

He further advised others who are yet to open a diamond extra account to do so, as there are more exciting things to win.
