The socio-political support group, also known as Ijaw Youths for BAT, in a press statement jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Comr. Daniel Ezonfade Okiringo, and National Publicity Secretary, Engr. Patrick Soji Disi, described the appointment of Chief Amgbare as well-deserved and timely.

It further explained that Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, who is a former Naval officer and founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, is the first among the big political players in Bayelsa APC to spearhead and garner support for the presidential ambition of President Bola Tinubu in Bayelsa State ahead of the APC presidential primaries.

While thanking President Tinubu for finally rewarding his friend with the assignment, which is a call to service, the group vouched for the competence and integrity of the former Bayelsa State’s Commissioner, to effectively discharge his duties in line with the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda of President Tinubu.

“Ijaw Youths for BAT congratulates one of our patrons, Chief Prince Ebitimi Amgbare on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as the MD/CEO of Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority. We say thank you to Mr. President for this appointment as it is timely and even plead with Mr. President to appoint more Ijaws who were at the forefront for the actualization of your presidential ambition to contribute our quota to the development of the nation.

“We express total confidence in Chief Prince Ebitimi Amgbare, being one of our patrons who mobilised us across the creeks to support Mr. President. We believe your appointment is well deserved. We strongly trust in your capability to turn things around positively in your new office to meet the aims and objectives of the NDRBDA establishment.

“We call on all Niger Deltans and indeed Nigeria as a whole to continue to support the ‘Renew Hope’ agenda of Mr.President and his team as he continues to stabilize the system and grow the economy for development. We assure all Nigerians that we will be proud at the end of the day for voting President Tinubu and the APC,” the statement read in part.

The group encouraged the new MD/CEO of NDRBDA to use his office to help in solving the problems of flooding and canalisation of the Niger Delta creek communities.
