Veritas University Warns Students Against Extravagant Eyelashes, Others

Veritas University Abuja has warned its students against violating the dress code of the institution.
The acting dean, students affairs, Rev. Fr. Dr. Michael Mary Akaigwe, gave the warning in a press statement yesterday.

Akaigwe said the university had set up a special task force effective from Monday, May 13, 2024, to uphold the dress code in its entirety.

The statement further warned male students who wear earrings and some female students who wear provocative tops (crop tops) to avoid the act.

“It is important to uphold the dress code of Veritas University, as outlined in the Student’s Handbook. Unfortunately, we have noticed that some students are not following the dress code.

“We have also noticed abnormalities in the colours of hair attachments, extravagant eyelashes and long, terrifying nails and henna on the bodies of some.

“Effective from Monday, May 13, 2024, a special task force from the Student Affairs Unit will be responsible for upholding the dress code in its entirety. Ensure you dress properly and comply with the services the task force is rendering to our university community,” it added.
