This was disclosed during a meeting between the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman and Nigeria’s first lady, Mrs Remi Tinubu.

During a courtesy visit to the State House in Abuja on Thursday, Ambassador Freeman outlined several areas where the Israeli government looks forward to partnering with the office of the first lady.
In a statement by the media aide of the first lady, Busola Kukoyi, among the proposed initiatives is a plan to establish computer classrooms specifically designed to provide training for girls who have been rescued from human trafficking.

The ambassador highlighted four aspects where the Israeli government looks forward to collaborating with the office of the first lady.

They are science and technology which will see them open 30 more innovation centers across the nation in addition to the one already operational in Abuja.

Ambassador Freeman disclosed that they would be setting up computer classrooms to train girls who have been rescued after being trafficked.

He informed his host about the proposed textile arts programme for young Nigerians, explaining that they would be working with Israelis who will train them to improve on their skills.

Responding, the first lady expressed appreciation for the proposed collaboration, noting that the key areas mentioned were same areas of key interest to her.

She said Nigeria would overcome whatever challenges it may have presently.
