“This hospital has suffered so much pilferage and theft, misdemeanors, mismanagement, truancy by medical officers and abuse of authority. So, we have to arrest all these,” he said.

At the commissioning of some dialysis and diagnostic equipment at the hospital, the governor further warned that his administration would no longer condone any misconduct at the hospital.

“The quality of diagnosis is what provides and saves lives and that is why the government is working very hard to make sure it provides these equipment in addition to the provision of one of the best medical professionals as chief medical director of the specialist hospital,” he added.

Earlier, the state commissioner for Health, Dr Adamu Sambo revealed that the hospital which has 500 consumables and sessions, would offer 200 of the figure for free to the public.
