The event, held on May 27th, 2024, aimed to bring joy, support, and encouragement to the children.

GANKCO’s visit to the orphanages was not just an act of charity but a demonstration of their dedication to making a positive impact in the community. The initiative highlighted the importance of corporate involvement in social welfare and the difference it can make in the lives of vulnerable children.

Nathaniel Ojo, the organization’s Head of Human Resources and Capacity Development, said, “We are here today as part of our corporate social responsibility to share this precious moment with the children.”

According to him, “We recognize Children’s Day around the world, and we found orphanages to be a place where we can come and share precious time with these children.

We also have extended food items, toiletries, and other basic necessities to them to ensure they live better lives irrespective of their present circumstances. “We are here to remind you that you are special.

There are people who have gone through this phase of life and have become better persons today. Some of them were not raised by their parents. You can be the best God has created you to be. Always carry out every task to the best of your ability.”

In his remarks, the orphanage administrator, Mr. Darlington Francis, said, “We lack the appropriate words to express our profound gratitude to GANKCO Energy Services Limited for all they do.”

Darlington explained that the orphanage is a non-governmental organization and that the government at all levels should endeavor to expedite the adoption of these children because leaving the kids at the orphanage for too long is not the best solution, in his opinion.
