The National President and Executive Council of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) have charged the newly elected Lagos State branch chairman of PFN, Pastor Yemi Davids; his deputy, Rev. Mrs. Janet Onaolapo, not to hesitate to pursue an inclusive and purposeful system of administration where all members of the body would be carried along.

The national president of PFN gave the charge during a telephone conversation with LEADERSHIP correspondent in Calabar, Cross Rivers State, days after the Christian body conducted elections that ushered in Davids and other executives into the Exco of Lagos State PFN.

Speaking on behalf of PFN National President, His Eminence, Bishop (D) Francis Wale Oke, the National Publicity Secretary of the body, Bishop Dr Emmah Isong, charged the new Lagos executives not to leave anyone behind but carry everyone along if they desire to success.

Bishop Oke called for results-oriented and purposeful leadership, fear of God, and wisdom on the part of the new leaders, so as not to betray the confidence reposed in them by members of the association.

According to a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, May 30, 2024, by the PFN National President, Bishop Wale Oke, confirmed by Bishop Isong, made available to LEADERSHIP in Calabar, PFN sued for peace, unity, and called for all hands to be on deck in order to lift the Christian body to higher height.

While welcoming the newly elected Lagos State PFN Exco into the fold, the letter reads, “I am pleased to announce to you that the Lagos PFN elections conducted on Tuesday May 28, 2024 has been vetted, accepted and validated by the National President. We hereby congratulate the new chairman, Pastor Yemi Davis, the deputy Rev. Mrs. Janet Onaolapo, Secretary Rev. Udo Robertson Agomuonso, Treasurer, Pastor Sola Osunmakinde.

“Other elective positions shall be filled at the General Assembly of the Lagos State PFN as stipulated by the National President.”

Speaking further, the Archbishop-elect, Dr Gospel Emmah Isong, who was the returning officer in the elections, affirmed that the exercise was free and fair, stressing that this accounted for the reason why they were yet to see any one protesting against the emergence of Davids and his team who emerged as winners.

Isong, who doubles as the General Overseer, Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), Ikot Ene Obong 8 Miles, Calabar, stressed that the successful and peaceful conduct of Lagos State PFN elections has finally laid to rest all agitations, suspicions and insinuations, and has also brought great appreciations and salutations to the wisdom and administrative grace of the National President of PFN.
