The Kaylah Lawal Care Foundation which specialises in providing health care services for the less privileged, young and physically challenged children has offered medical aid to over 300 children in Gosa community in the Federal Capital Territory.
Convener of the foundation, Mrs. Ayoolauwapo Lawal said it was formed in honor of her late daughter, Modadeoluwa Kayla Lawal who died in 2022 while swimming in school.
She said they were in the community to meet less privileged children and give them some care to take care of their school needs.
She said the foundation, in its bid to keep the legacy of her late daughter brought medication with trained personnel to assist the children.
While calling on the federal government and community leaders to intensify support for the younger generation, Mrs. Lawal lamented that many rural communities lack of ante-natal services and schools.
“We are here in Gosa community to provide medical care to the less privileged children. We specifically chose this place because of the less privileged who their parents lack adequate medical care as well as the financial capacity to care of them.
“I call on the Nigerian government to keep doing what they can do especially with regard to children. We need to provide basic amenities for children and take care of their mothers,” she said.
