The real estate development company expressed confidence that Egube’s new appointment into the Lagos State government will have a positive impact on governance in the state.

Egube, who was named Adozillion’s Board Chairman in March this year after serving as the Lagos State commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget from 2019 to 2023, brings over two decades of experience in finance, insurance, agriculture, and technology sectors to his new position.

As Board Chairman of Adozillion, Egube instituted robust corporate governance measures that ensured adherence to industry regulations and ethical best practices.

“We look forward to his contributions and the positive impact he will have as deputy chief of staff,” Dr. Simon Adozi, CEO of Adozillion Homes and Realty said, while congratulating Egube on the appointment by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

He said “Egube expertise, dedication, and innovative mindset will be an invaluable asset to the administration. While we will miss his leadership on our board, we wholeheartedly support his new position serving the people of Lagos.”

In announcing the key on Friday, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted Egube’s impressive profile, stating, “Mr. Egube brings with him a wealth of experience and a brilliant profile. His strategic insights and dedication make him the perfect successor to carry on the vital tasks.”

“Today, I appointed Mr. Sam Egube as the new deputy chief of staff for Lagos State,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said. “This decision is crucial for continuing the vibrant and effective governance our administration is known for.”

The appointment fills the vacancy left by the late Gboyega Soyannwo, whose passing the governor described as “deeply distressing” for the State Executive Council.

“Mr. Egube, our former commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget in the former cabinet, brings with him a wealth of experience and a brilliant profile,” Sanwo-Olu said. “His strategic insights and dedication make him the perfect successor to carry on the vital tasks left by late Gboyega Soyannwo.”

He charged the new deputy chief of staff to bring “fresh ideas, confidence, and unwavering dedication” to the role, noting “the responsibilities are immense, and time is of the essence.”

“Together, we will ensure that Lagosians experience no glitch or slowdown in our governance,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
