Buni made this known when the Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo visited the governor recently. A statement from the director general Press Affairs and Media to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed said Buni assured FHA of his administration’s readiness to partner the agency for the construction of the houses. He said the government would ensure meeting its obligations for the success of the project.

Buni commended the FHA for the wise decision of choosing Yobe state for the housing project. “Yobe state is desirous of this partnership to support its post insurgency recovery and development agenda. “We need more houses to resettle our communities who were displaced by the security challenge,” the governor said.

He urged the Authority to swing into action without wasting time adding, “we are most prepared”. Earlier, the Managing Director, Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo said they decided to visit the governor based on the interest of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) to partner with the Yobe state government on the construction of the Low Cost Housing Estate in the state.

Ojo said “The FHA is desirous of partnering with the government of Yobe state in the provision of housing for the teeming populace in accordance with His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in using housing as a catalyst to drive economic development of Nigeria.”
