Ogbuku spoke during a visit by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-South Zone National Working Committee (NWC).

Welcoming the delegation, he expressed enthusiasm for the government’s active interest in policy implementation within the NDDC.

He stressed the importance of transcending partisan politics to focus on governance that benefits the people.

“We have gone beyond partisan politics. This is the point of governance, and there are no party boundaries in governance because it is about the people,” he stated.

The visit aimed to build energy in areas that directly benefit the populace, reinforcing the NDDC’s role in executing President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

Ogbuku highlighted the commission’s policy shift from transactional activities to transformative initiatives.

“We urge everyone to support us in this transformational journey,” he added.

He provided an overview of the NDDC’s achievements over the past year, underscoring the completion of significant infrastructure projects.

The Iko-Atabrikang-Opolom-IwuoAchang Road project and the 600-metre Ibeno Bridge in Ibeno local government area are major milestones among these. Additionally, the commission has implemented thousands of solar power projects across the region, significantly enhancing the region’s electrification and development.

Ogbuku reiterated the need for accountability and transparency, detailing the commission’s accomplishments as a testament to their dedication and efficiency.
