In readiness for the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport’s takeoff, Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed three consultants to manage the state’s aviation sector.

The appointment was in a statement issued yesterday in Abeokuta, the state capital, by the secretary to the state government (SSG), Mr Tokunbo Talabi.

Talabi explained that the consultants will be responsible for specific areas in the rapidly developing aviation sector.

The aviation experts included Capt. Dapo Olumide, who is the consultant on airport management; Engr. Benedict Adeyileka will be in charge of regulatory matters (Aviation), and Engr Mohammed Odunowo will be the aviation consultant.

Abiodun announced earlier in April this year, during the 13th Gateway International Trade Fair breakfast meeting with chief executive officers, captains of industry, entrepreneurs, and investors, that the Gateway International Airport, constructed by his administration, would soon commence non-scheduled and scheduled flight operations.
